Hip hop, not only as a form of music and culture, but also one of the current lifestyles for the young generation. Last year, Chinese people have started to learn more about hip hop. DamnShine, who has been a rapper for almost ten years, has a good reputation for his hip hop art. He is from Changsha Sup Music, and is a part of C-Block. Because of his beef with Higher Brothers at the end of 2017, DamnShine was pushed into the Chinese hip hop public. How should we interpret this under the special circumstances of Chinese hip hop? DamnShine, who came to Los Angeles on tour, gave us his own thoughts about Chinese hip hop.

Now, the streaming number of our Documentary Platform “New Tribe” are over 10M, blessing to be the one of the best original content platform in Chinese Hiphop community, we basically using our platform covered all the hiphop scene in China; It was a really nice run.

In 1995, UCSD’s largest library was renamed Geisel Library, in honor of Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss). The largest Seuss archive collection is at Geisel Library. Lynda Classon, director of the Geisel Library Archives, takes you into a stroy between Dr. Suess and Geisel Library.

The original documentary shot by @Boyanghiphop in 2018, 爬墙之路 The Road to Climbing the Wall, follows the summer tour of China’s new generation Shanghai rap crew @StraightFireGang, featuring @直火帮XZT @直火帮Feezy @直火帮Chuckzigga @DJYB. During the tour, Boyang had the opportunity to get up close with the four young music talents of Straight Fire Gang, discussing their personal journeys in the world of Asian Hip-hop music.

New Tribe doc platform’s original documentary 北美三子 TEAM CALI, director Boyang takes you closer to three North American independent hiphop musicians @北美杨晓川, @lilCastles, and @TonyRey, who entered the public spotlight 2018 summer through a super well know Chinese Rap show "the Rap of China." At the filming location of their new song "三人行" MV, Boyang gain some real insight into their personal journeys in the world of rap music.
